Save A Meal is an app concept designed to connect food businesses with food banks and shelters in order to reduce waste and provide meals to communities in need. The mission centers on sustainability, compassion, and efficient distribution.
They approached us seeking a logo that would feel warm, simple, and memorable. The goal was to create an identity that communicates care and resourcefulness while remaining modern and scalable for digital use.
The final design features a clean line-art squirrel that forms both the icon and the initial letter S in a single continuous motion. The symbol represents saving, gathering, and thoughtfully redistributing resources, which aligns perfectly with the app’s purpose. Paired with minimal typography and a fresh green palette, the result is a friendly and optimistic identity that reinforces the positive social impact at the heart of Save A Meal.
